G2 Axle: TCJ D44 Front Axle Assembly 4.10 Ratio; with ARB Air Locker

When you are in need of a new axle, the first place you should look is G2 Axle.  The thing is, why would anyone need a new axle?  It may be that you have actually broken your axle on an off road trip or even in an accident.  It may be that your existing axle is old and worn or maybe you just want a stronger and better one than the one put on your Jeep at the factory.

Today we will take a look at the TCJ D44 Front Axle Assembly.  This one features a 4.10 gear ratio as well as an ARB air locker.

Believe it or not, these assemblies are actually quite a bit stronger than OE Rubicon axles.  Aside from that, they also happen to be packed with everything that you will need AND they come to you ready to be bolted into your Jeep with ease.  Chromoly is the material used for the construction of these axles and when you want U joints with a great name, the ones on these axles happen to be Dana Spicers.  With these axles you get a choice of lockers as well as gear ratios and the entire assembly is put together with top quality Timkin bearings as well as National seals.  This assembly comes to you complete with ball joints that carry the Dana Spicer name.  That said, you will need to reuse your existing outer brake assemblies as well as the steering knuckles from your previous front axle if it was a model 30.

Features at a Glance

·         Installation of these axles might require a few modifications to be made to your drive shaft

·         The U bolt yoke is a 1310 Series

·         Axle U Joints are genuine Dana Spicer parts

·         G2 axle shafts are the 30 spline type

·         The air locker with this assembly is made by ARB

·         The gear ratio is 4.56

·         This is a front axle assembly in the Dana 44 TJ style

These axles made by G2 are made so that they are stronger than any OE axle.  They are made to be ready to take on the higher torque that is a signature of today’s very low gear rigs as well as from increased load sizes that are a product of larger wheels and tires as well as all of the punishment that goes hand in hand with off road driving.

With these axles, you will be able to simply bolt them into your Jeep as soon as you get them.  They are incredibly heavy duty and come to you complete with new ring and pinion sets in the OE style.
